I had a bunch of topics written down to blog about last week that I never got to because I was watching all of the Reagan funeral events. Most of these have already been covered by other bloggers so I am just going to make one big post with links so that I can move on to more current topics.
INDC Journal has a fantastic post from an International ANSWER protest where he was able to interview Michael Berg. You may remember that Michael Berg blames the Bush Administration for the murder of his son Nick rather than the terrorists who sawed his head off. You can see my previous posts on Michael Berg
here and
here. Also see INDC's follow-up posts

It looks like the search for WMD's and other banned weapons is beginning to see results. The UN found 20 banned missile engines and other WMD related equipment in a scrap yard in Jordan. Similar finds had been reported in Syria, the Netherlands, and Sudan.
Power Line and
Blogs for Bush has more.
For the umpteenth time, John McCain has stated he will not join the ticket with John Kerry. As usual,
Captain's Quarter's offers good analysis. How pathetic are the Democrats that they have pursued this idea for 3 months? Is the Democrat's bench that bad? Apparently so.
RightWingNews offers some related satire and
Right Thiking from the Left Coast says the rumors are back suggesting Giuliani will replace Cheney on the ticket.
Preparation for the Democratic Convention in Boston is already a nightmare. Construction was postponed due to picketing Boston police officers until a federal judge called in US Marshals to restore order.
Viking Pundit,
Mass Backwards, and
Daily Pundit have more. The
Boston Globe also reports that organizers still have an $11 million cash shortfall.
In previous posts (
here and
here), I have discussed the under-reporting of Republicans in some national polls done by various media outlets. The latest LA Times poll seems to be doing just that. While most polls show a statistical tie, the LA Times shows Kerry up by 7 points. Amazingly, the lead expands with Nader in the mix. At the same time it says Bush has a 51% approval rating! Those are some wacky results.
Captain's Quarters,
RealClearPolitics,
QandO and
KausFiles are all over it. Also see Patterico's post over at
Oh, That Liberal Media which details some more bias at the LA Times.
Joe Gandelman over at
The Moderate Voice has a post discussing Larry Sabato's article that says this election could be like 1980. Being the partisan that I am I don't personally buy it but it is interesting reading nonetheless. Lorie Byrd at
PoliPundit also disagrees.
Ok, that should catch me up for now. Regular blogging will continue later today.
